All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Nora Oliveaux - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 23, 1980 Services for Nora Oliveaux, 73, of Tallulah, were Tuesday in Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Hall Cemetery in Start. Mrs. Oliveaux died Saturday in the Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. She was a Mississippi native and had lived in Tallulah for the last 56 years. She was a member of the Mound Baptist Church. Prior to her death, Mrs. Oliveaux represented one of five living generations of her family. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Mlles of Tallulah; one brother, Rufus Deason of Magee, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Ann Cox and Mrs. Elmer Louise Wiggins, both of Vicksburg; four grandchildren, Mrs. Flora Toney, Mrs. Darlene Chandler, Billy Ray Miles, all of Tallulah and Mrs. Mary Ann Shelnutt of Birmingham, Ala.; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. Pallbearers were William Thigpen, Arthur Wayne Thigpen, Pooler Thigpen, Cecil Wells, Dave Moore and Dan Purvis.
