Graveside services for Mrs. Ruth Harkey Olvey 97 of Tallulah will be held at 3PM Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Delhi Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Pat Lofton officiating. Visitation will be held from 2PM until time of services at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi. Mrs. Olvey was a the last living charter member of the First Baptist Church in Newellton. She was a retired bookkeeper. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Henry Harkey Sr. and Essie Forest Whayne Harkey; her husband John F. Olvey; two brothers Thomas Henry Harkey Jr. and Jesse Wayn Harkey; two sisters Louise Hutchinson and Kathryn Hopper "Memmy" Adams and a niece Margie Ruth "Toodlum" Harkey. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Cramer "Bud" Hopper of Florida, John T. Hopper of Monroe, LA, Tommy Harkey of Bay City, TX, Sherry Harkey Klein of Nashville, TN, Judi Gaharan of Shreveport, LA, Jeffrey W. Harkey of Monroe, Jarrell C. Hopper of Baton Rouge, LA, Thomas R. "Randy" Hopper of Perdido Bay, FL and Linda Harkey Fenoglio of Van Vleck, TX. and Paul Lee.
