All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Claudine Sharpe Osborne - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 27, 1996 Memorial services for Claudine Sharpe Osborne of Tallulah, La., were held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, 1996, at the First Baptist Church of Tallulah. Mrs. Osborne died Saturday, March 23, 1996, after a lengthy illness. A wife, mother and homemaker, Mrs. Osborne was a life-long member of Tallulah First Baptist Church, past president and active member of the WMU, and a dedicated Sunday School, Bible School and Training Union teacher. A member of the MadiŽson Baptist Association, she served on the Board of Directors of the NLU Baptist Student Union and was a committed supporter of Louisiana College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ilar W. Osborne Sr. Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Gustafson; a son, Ilar W. "Skeet" Osborne Jr.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melonie and Paul Meeks, Ruthie and Fred Gaumnitz; and a son and daughter-in-law, J. Ted and Karol Osborne; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of Tallulah. She is also survived by one brother, John D. Sharpe of Marshall, Texas, and one sisŽter, Mildred S. McCready of Monroe, La. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Tallulah First Baptist Church/Memorial Prayer Room.
