Funeral Services Held Tuesday For Dan A. Packer

Funeral services for Dan A. Packer, 71, who died Sunday morning In the Madison Parish Hospital after 
a brief illness, were held Tuesday morning at 9 a. m. in Crothers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. 
Bobby Brown officiating. Burial followed at Ellis Cemetery in Franklinton at 2 p. m.

He was a native of Franklinton and had resided in Madison Parish for the past 46 years. He was a 
retired millwright, a member of the Methodist Church, and a veteran of World War I and the American Legion.

Survivors include two stepsons Aubrey E. Floyd of Baton Rouge, and Tommy Floyd; one daughter Mrs. 
Edwena Hall of Greenville, Miss.; one brother, Emmitt Packer of Amite; one sister, Mrs. Nanie Vaughn 
of Kentwood; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were W. C. Dunning Carroll Deweese, A. D. Hattaway, Jack Bowden, J. H. Ramshur and Herbert Jones.
