Panquin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 10, 1993 Funeral services for Mr. J. V. Panquin, 78, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Panquin died Friday at the Madison Parish Hospital. He was born in Oak Grove and lived in Madison Parish. He retired from the Tallulah Fire Department after 41 years of services. He was employed by Tyche Inc. in Tallulah and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah. Survivors include his wife, Marie S. Panquin of Tallulah; two daughters, Betty A. McDonald of Tallulah and Linda P. Wiley of Ferriday; one son, James H. "Bubba" Panquin of Tallulah; three sisters, Audrey T. Miller and Mae Belle Bryant, both of Tallulah and Mae Etta Friday of Bossier City; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Robert Charles Brown, Ricky Landrum, Bill Yerger Jr., Greg McKinnie, Gene Cox and Robert Jackson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Tallulah Fire Department and volunteer firemen.
