Parker - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star November 11, 1942 Frank L. Parker, well known Ouachita parish man, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Humble, in the Cole addition, November 8. The funeral was held at the residence Monday with Rev. C. E. Autry, West Monroe pastor, officiating. Interment was in Silver Cross cemetery, Tallulah, with the Kilpatrick Funeral home in charge. Mr. Parker was a lifelong member of the First Methodist church in West Monroe. He was born January 11, 1861, and had lived almost his entire life in this parish. His wife, Mrs. Meddie Davis Parker, died November 26, 1911. Mr. Parker was possessed of many friends and among other hobbies he was devoted to hunting and for many years never missed enjoying this sport. He leaves the following sons and daughters: Mrs. M. L. Thompson, C. F. Parker, J. D. Parker, Mrs. M. L. Coleman, Jim P. Parker, Frank R. Parker, Matt H. Parker, Mrs. Lester Jacobs, Andrew H. Parker, and Mrs. John Humble; 22 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
