Irma Wilson Parker passed away on August 2, 2026 at Harvest Assisted Living in Roanoke, Texas. The past thirteen years she has lived with her son, Calvin, and his wife, Cindy in Denton, TX.

She was born in Delhi, Louisiana on May 6, 1930 to Kirby and Mable Wilson. After her marriage to Saniford Lee Parker they made their family home in the Willow Bayou Community at Tallulah, Louisiana. Saniford preceded her in death after 54 years of marriage. She lived a long life devoted to her family, her faith and her friends.

She is survived by her loving children: Geniece Parker Piercy (Jimmy) of Bastrop, LA; Saniford L. Parker, Jr. of Bethany, TX; Martin Parker (Cathy) of Tallulah, LA; Calvin Parker (Cindy) of Denton, TX; Kirby Parker (Lori) of Cibolo, TX; Dorothea Long (Joe) of Licking, MO; and Sharon Williamson (Michael) of Destin, FL. Her legacy continues through her 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, 4 nieces, and 1 nephew. There are numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Saniford L. Parker, Sr., daughter, Patrica Parker and granddaughter, LeAnn Parker; parents, Kirby and Mable Wilson; brothers, Woodrow Wilson and Emmett Wilson; sisters, Louise Mayberry and Irene Parker.

Irma will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith and her dedication to her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her family finds comfort knowing she will be reunited with those who went before her.

Services for Irma will be held August 8, 2026, at Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm with her son, Rev. Martin Parker, officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Jason Parker, Brian Parker, Brandon Arnold, Joseph Williamson, Jamie Parker, and Jerry Parker with alternate pallbearers being Keith Powers and Jeremy Powell. Honorary pallbearer will be Brad Parker.
