All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Elizabeth Bettis Parkerson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 19, 1994 Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Bettis Parkerson, 78, of Baton Rouge, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church here with Revs. William Baldridge and Gary Patience officiating. Burial was at Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge with Rev. Timothy Perkins officiating. Mrs. Parkerson died Wednesday, Jan. 12 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was born on Huon Plantation in Madison Parish, lived most of her adult life in Tallulah and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. She was a retired state employee with the Department of Health and Human Resources and a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, where she was a communicant. Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Kincaid Carpenter of Sewanee, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Edward H. Eiland of Tallulah and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Robert H. Carpenter III, John K. Carpenter; Dr. Edward Eiland Jr., Ed Eiland, Ian Gusky and John L. Pearce.
