All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Gertrude Gideon Parra - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Madison Journal September 6, 1935 FORMER CITIZEN OF TALLULAH DIES AT NEW ORLEANS HOME News of the death of Gertrude Gideon, wife of Paul B. Parra, Jr., has been received in Tallulah. Mrs. Parra died at her home in New Orleans Friday, August 30. She was 38 years of age. Mrs. Parra is well known in Tallulah where she lived for several years, Mr. Parra being employed in the drug store now known as Guenard-Lucas. They were married while Mr. Parra was living in Tallulah. She is survived by her husband, a son, Paul Gideon Parra; her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Block and a brother, William Cyril Gideon of Clarksdale, Miss. The remains were taken to Water Valley, Miss., the home of her mother, and buried at that place on Saturday morning.
