All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Arwin Scott Patrick - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 14, 1964 Mrs. Patrick's Funeral Tuesday Mrs. Arwin Scott Patrick's death on Sunday, February 9th at 12:35 P. M. in Baton Rouge, La. saddened the hearts of a large group of friends and relatives here, and in other areas. She was at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Wright, Jr. in Baton Rouge, La. and her son, Warren Patrick of Tallulah was with her at the time of her death. Her husband, the late Col. John B. Patrick, died some sixteen years ago in France while on duty with the U. S. Air Force. Mrs. Patrick was born on Shirley Plantation, two miles east of Tallulah, on January 23, 1896. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Marley Scott. Her mother before her marriage was Miss Nancy Vinyard Kefauver of Madisonville, Tenn. The Scott family have for many years been prominent in Madison Parish, as planters and bankers. Mrs. Patrick, beloved by her family and a large circle of friends, was an Episcopalian, and always an active worker in the work of the church. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11:00 A. M. at her home, with the Rev. William Parkerson of Trinity Church, Tallulah, and the Rev. Robert Witcher of St. James Episcopal Church, Baton Rouge, officiating at both the services at the home and in Silver Cross Cemetery. Honorary pall bearers were: Dr. H. S. Provine and Dr. O. M. Thompson, Jr. of Baton Rouge. Pallbearers Were: Judge C. C Adams, J. W. Weimar of Baton Rouge, W. H. Wright, Sr. of Baton Rouge, B. G. Hammond, Henry C. Sevier, Jr., R. C. Gaines, Salo Abrahm, Jr. and E. S. Moberley.
