All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Helen Inez Pelfrey - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 12, 2000 Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Inez Pelfrey, 64, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2000 at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Father Ferre' D'Cruz officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 12th at the funeral home. Mrs. Pelfrey died Monday, July 20, 2000 in the Parkview Medical Center in Vicksburg after a lengthy illness. She was born in Denver, Col., and had lived in Tallulah for two years. She was a housekeeper and a retired food service employee. She was a member of' the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Roman Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lynn Pillard of Tallulah. She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Pillard of Tallulah; four daughters: Mina King and husband, Brian-Phoenix, Arizona, Nina Heard and husband Fred of Tallulah; Christine Mims and husband Scott of Burleson, Texas; and Danette Santo and husband Al of Alvarado, Texas; one son, Charles R. Pillard, III of Alvarado, Texas; one son-in-law: David E. Brown of Tyler, Texas; one brother, Joe Roy Chaney of Denver, Co.; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society - Helen Inez Pelfrey.
