Mr. Peterkin was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on April 24, 1990 to Alexander and Alice Turpin Peterkin. He has lived, off and on, in Tallulah for the past fifty years, moving to Hot Springs, Arkansas eight years ago. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a. m. Monday, at the Gross Mortuary in Hot Springs with The Reverend Wayne Buchanan of St. Luke's Episcopal Church officiating. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Effie Peterkin, five nieces, Mrs. Polly Starrett, Miss Annie Ward, Miss Margaret Ward, Mrs. Frances Eiland and Mrs. Elizabeth Parkerson of Baton Rouge, one nephew, George Peterkin, of Houston, Texas.
