Petty - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 16, 1997 Funeral services for Marvin E. Petty, 57, were held Saturday, April 12, 1996, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. The Rev. James Johnson officiated. Mr. Petty was buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Petty died Wednesday, April 9 in the Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Petty was a truck driver born in Delhi. He was a member of Victory Chapel Pentecostal Church in California. He is survived by his wife, Nita Payne Petty, Tallulah; sons Carl Edward Petty and Richard Ellis Petty, Bakersfield, Calif; Darryl Wayne Matlock and Brian Lee Matlock, Tallulah; and Rodney Dale Petty, Vicksburg, Miss; Daughters Joyce Petty Toney and Tonya Rayline Tarver, both of Tallulah; and Cherry Lynn Moss, Monroe, Step-sons Michael Alan Owens and Steven Douglas Owens of Bakersfield, Step-daughters Rhonda Schroder, Shelton, Wash; Nita Diane Lynn, Bakersfield; Darla Kay Lynn, Aurora, Ill., Brothers Narvin Eugene Petty, Walker; John Ellis Petty, Denham Springs; Kenneth Wayne Petty, Pearl, Miss; Narlon Dale Petty and Marlon Dell Petty of Oroville, Calif., Sisters Omie Jean Wall, Tallulah; Jinnie Elizabeth Gordon, Port Gibson, Miss; Eula Mae Petty, Orange, Texas, step-sister Elizabeth Ann Perkins, Bakersfield; Step-father Herbert Bradley, Warren,Ark; 27 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
