All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Cherry Moberley Poole Pittinger - Madison Parish, Louisiana From The Jackson, MS Clarion-Ledger, September 17, 2013 Madison Cherry Moberley Poole Pittinger,68, lost her battle with small cell lung cancer on Sunday, September 15, 2013. She was survived by her husband, James Pittinger; three daughters, Shannon Poole Hagan of Opelousas, Louisiana, K. Janean Poole Westby-Gibson of Madison, Mississippi and Sandi Pittinger of Ridgeland, Mississippi; one son, James Michael "Shane" Poole, Jr. of Lafayette, Louisiana; and four grandchildren. Cherry lovingly donated her body to UMC Department of Neurobiology and Anatomical Science to help further cancer research. A celebration of Cherry's life will be held at her home on Tuesday, September 17, from 5:00 to 7:00.
