All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ethel Pope - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 18, 1966 Funeral Services Held Friday for Mrs. Ethel Pope Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Pope, 74, of Shreveport, who died last Thursday night at Pineville after a long illness, were held at Crothers Funeral Chapel last Friday at 2:30 p. m. with the Rev. Thorp officiating. Burial was held in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Pope was a native of Gradin, Mo., and a former resident of Tallulah. She was a member of the Willow Bayou Baptist Church here. Surviving are two sons, Maurice Pope of Bossier City and Garland Pope of Charleston, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Dupree of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Bess Breihn, Mrs. Inez Calhoun and Mrs. Pearl Pattie, all of Berwick; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Billy Hodge, E. J. Hodge, Armon Cox, A. W. Cox, Billy Frith, and Winfred Parker.
