All rights reserved. ************************************************ Hettie Johnson Popwell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post May 4, 2001 TALLULAH - Hettie Johnson Popwell died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at Summit Hospital in West Monroe. She was 90. Born in Mize, Mrs. Popwell had lived in Tallulah most of her life. She was a charter member of Parkview Baptist Church and a retired saleswoman. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Popwell. She is survived by a sister, Mary E. Pruitt of Vicksburg; a niece, Cheryl Ann Reed of Vicksburg; three nephews, Billy T. Neighbors of Selma, Ala., Jimmy Tradewell of Jacksonville, Ark., and Donnie Byrd of Vicksburg. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Silver Cross Cemetery with the Rev. Cletus Moak officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 until 7:30 tonight at the funeral home in Tallulah.
