All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Hazel Powell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 13, 1981 Services for Hazel Powell, 81, were Tuesday in the First Methodist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Rupert Xxxxx officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Miss Powell died Sunday at Delta Haven Nursing Home after a long illness. She was a native of Claiborne County, Miss., and was a resident of Tallulah for the past 54 years. She was a retired dietician, a member of the James Foster Chapter of the DAR and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ruth Powell Patterson of Tallulah; and 10 nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were C.B. Miller, Charles Arneson, John Earl Martin, Albert Paxton, Harry Don Morton and Roddis Randall.
