All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Effie Mae Prewitt - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 25, 1989 Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Mae Prewitt, 85, were Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Prewitt died Tuesday morning at Delta Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Ackerman, Miss. and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 68 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Montrose Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Mr. B. H. (Hook) Prewitt Sr. of Tallulah; one son, Benny Prewitt Jr. of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Arender of Tallulah and Mrs. Patsy P. Murphy of Monroe; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dr. Stan Wilkins, Larry Wilkins, Randy L. Orrell, Rodney G. Orrell, Gregory K. Orrell and Toby Wilkins.
