Purnell Madison Parish, LA From The Tallulah Madison Journal (LA), February 24, 1923 MRS. A. H. PURNELL The many friends of Mrs. Aura H. Purnell will regret to learn of her death, which occurred Thursday at seven in the morning at the home of her son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Purnell. She was spending the winter months at Afton, La., with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Purnell, when she was taken ill. As soon as she could travel she came to Tallulah where she passed away. Her remains were carried to Vicksburg and interred in the family burial place. Services were conducted in Tallulah and Vicksburg by Rev. R. F. Harrell of Tallulah.
