TALLULAH - Lillie Purnell died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center. She was 96.

Miss Purnell was born in Tallulah and had also lived in Houston. She served as a U.S. Army nurse during 
World War II.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Jean Foreman officiating. 
Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. today until the service.
