Ramshur - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 13, 1969 J. H. Ramshur Dies Monday; Rites Held Here J. H. Ramshur, 36, of Tallulah, died Monday night in a Jackson, Miss., hospital following a brief Illness. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a. m. Wed. in Crothers Funeral Chapel here with the Rev. Leroy Joyner officiating with burial to follow in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Ramshur, a Lake Providence native, had lived here for the past 20 years. He was employed by Louisiana Power and Light Co., a Korean War veteran, member of American Legion and the Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Norma Ramshur of Tallulah; three sons, Thomas James Ramshur of Bastrop, Randy Bean Ramshur and Rich Lane Ramshur, both of Tallulah; one daughter, Miss Sandra Jo Ramshur of Tallulah; one brother, Ben Ramshur of Bastrop; and five sisters, Mrs. Elma Moore of Bennett Springs, Mo., Mrs. Verlee Wise and Mrs. Ellen Wise, both of Bastrop, Mrs. Irma Ross of Oak Grove, and Mrs. Ida Coley of Ferriday. Pallbearers were Wayne Brown, Leon Hart, John Jennings, Jack Bowden, Ernest Givens, Robert Guimbellot, Gary Jones and Wilbur Hattaway.
