All rights reserved. **************************************************************************************************************************************** Edna Ruth Cook Reynolds Madison Parish, LA From Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA May 3, 2008 Graveside services for Mrs. Edna Ruth Cook Reynolds will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday May 3, 2008, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, LA with Rev. Ron Thomas officiating and Mike Tryon giving the eulogy. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. Reynolds went to her eternal rest on May 1st at the Oak Woods Nursing Home in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born on May 15, 1925 in Quinlan, Texas to Harvey and Lillie Cook. Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her parents, an infant sister and brother, her brother, William "Bill'' Cook, sisters-in-law Carol Cook, Myrtle McCoy and Eugenia Middleton; brothers-in-law Richard Arnold Walker, Lee McCoy, John Middleton , Bob Blackwell, R. L. Reynolds and Joe Reynolds, Jr. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Patsy and Mike Tryon, and Renee and Charley Peterson, "adopted daughter" Janice Shelton Richards; sister Lola Cook Walker; sisters-in-law: Pauline Blackwell, Eva Reynolds, and Odie Mae Reynolds; grandchildren: Ursula Mercer, Mart and Mona Tryon, Jennifer and Jason Hollis, Chuck, Gretchen and Lisa Peterson, and Katie Harrington; Great grandchildren: Baley and Lynsey Mercer, Devin Tryon, Carl Lawson, Kayli Wallace and Ryan Peterson; special nephew and niece, Johnnie Mart Walker and Nita Gay Henson and many other special nieces nephews and friends. Mrs. Reynolds was a Christian and member of Melbourne Baptist Church where in her younger years she served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher, WMAJ member and in many other capacities. Those days were some of her happiest memories. She loved and cherished her family and spent many hourd preparing meals for their enjoyment. Visitation will be Friday, May 2nd from 5:00 p. m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Memorials may be made to Gideons International. The family wishes to express their thanks to The Oak Woods Nursing Home staff, many friends at the Murray Plaza Apartments and their church family at First Baptist Church of Swartz.
