All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Oliver Herman Rhodes - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 3, 1981 Services for Oliver Herman Rhodes, were at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Rhodes died Tuesday at his residence. He was a native of Lauderdale County, Miss. and a resident of Tallulah for 18 years. He was a retired engineering technician with the Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, Miss. and a member of the Tallulah First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen P. Rhodes of Tallulah; two brothers, Clinton Rhodes of Inverness, Fla. and L.N. Rhodes Sr. of Collinsville, Miss. Pallbearers were D. D. Wood, Wayne Harkey, Lamar Walters, Leland Walters, J. T. Fulton and Murray Washam.
