Richardson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 6, 1931 MRS. RICHARDSON DELTA RESIDENT DIES MONDAY Passes Away While Visiting Daughter in Lake Charles Madison Parish friends will deeply regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Lucy C. Richardson, venerable and beloved resident of Delta, La., who passed away suddenly early Monday morning while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ward Anderson, in Lake Charles, La. The news of Mrs. Richardson's death came as a great shock as she was in apparent good health and had been enjoying a visit with her daughter for the past several weeks. The late Mrs. Richardson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ward Anderson of Lake Charles, La., and Mrs. H. O. Bland of Jackson, Miss. Also a son, Collier Richardson of Orlando, Florida. Her husband, the late J. S. Richardson, preceded her to the grave about five years ago. Mrs. Richardson made her home in Delta the greater part of her life and was one of its most beloved residents, always taking pleasure in doing things for others. She was a most devoted wife, loving mother and her dear ones have sustained an irreparable loss in her passing. She was a devout and active member of Bryan Christian Church of Vicksburg, and her entire life was a beautiful example of true Christian womanhood. Mrs. Richardson will be mourned by a host of local friends in Madison Parish. In keeping with Mrs. Richardson's wishes she was laid to rest in Vicksburg by the side of her husband.
