All rights reserved. ************************************************ Joyce Fay Beard Roark - Madison Parish, Louisiana Alexandria (LA) Daily Town Talk November 21, 2004 Mrs. Joyce Fay Beard Roark, age 67, of Winnfield passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004 at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield. She was a member of Tallulah Baptist Church. She also was a member of the Happy Homemakers Club and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was the daughter of the late Troy Beard and the late Leslie Fuller Beard. She is survived by her two daughters, Joy Roark Schilling of Winnfield and Marilyn "Cissy" Roark Parker and her husband Clyde "Dub" Parker of Winnfield; two brothers, Gayle Beard of Tallulah and Perry Beard of Chandler, Texas; four grandchildren, Clint Schilling and his wife Jaime of Atlanta, La., Candice Smith of Winnfield, Brandon Parker and his wife Jenny of Winnfield and Derek Parker and his wife Melissa of Bentley; and four great-grandchildren, Coltyn, Mikah, Justin, Nathan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Roark, and her brother, Percy Beard. Arrangements are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2004 and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004. Funeral services will be at Southern Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 with the Rev. Robert Leach officiating. Interment will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield. Pallbearers will be John Fluitt, Bruce Roark, Ronnie Paul McCain, Ty Beard, Troy Jurek and Paul McCain. Jerry Bamburg and Shelby Bonnette will serve as honorary pallbearers.
