All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Charles Leonard Roberson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 14, 1962 Local Resident Dies Tuesday Following Attack Charles Leonard Roberson, 43, died unexpectedly at his residence Tuesday night following a heart attack. Funeral services were held Thursday at 3 p. m. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Williams officiating, assisted by the Rev. Oster R. Daniels. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Roberson was a member of the Baptist Church. He had resided in Madison Parish for the past 33 years and was a veteran of World War II. He was a salesman for an ice cream firm. Survivors include his widow, Mrs Ruthie Belle Roberson; two daughters, misses Juanita Sue and Patricia Lyn Roberson; a son, Charles Leonard Roberson, Jr.; his mother, Mrs, W. E. Roberson; two brothers, Garland and Carl Roberson; four sisters, Mrs. Cora Mae Reeves, Mrs. Gloria Bradley, Mrs. Faye Harmon and Mrs. Louise Cox, all of Tallulah. Pallbearers were Thomas Flurry, Don Machen, Joe Thornton, Dave Moore, D'Elmer Williamson and Jerry Smith.
