All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Maxine Roberson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post December 6, 2013 TALLULAH, La. — Maxine Roberson, age 89, of Tallulah, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, Dec.4, 2013, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason McGuffie officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be today at the funeral home from 9 a.m until the time of service. Mrs. Roberson was a native of Red River Parish and had been a resident in Madison Parish for the past 58 years. She was a homemaker and a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Roberson; two brothers, Jim Miller and Dub Miller; granddaughter Melissa Forestier; great-granddaughter, Josie Beth Lee; and great-grandson, Brett Tonnang. She is survived by one brother, Jerry Miller (Jean) of Hoopeston, Ill.; two sons, Eddie (Carol) Roberson of Vicksburg, and Dennis (Judy) Roberson of Byram; two daughters, Betty Tonnang (Gilbert) of Waverly, La.; and Barbara Lee (Bobby) of Rayville, La.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ed Roberson, Neal Roberson, Morgan Roberson, Brandon Pace, Curtis Forestier, and Lloyd Erwin. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Kelley Lee, Allen Lee, Robert Lee, Carl Tonnang, David Roberson, Brandon Roberson, Hayden Scarber and Stephen Roberson. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. L.P. Neumann, staff and friends at Olive Branch Nursing Home and the doctors, nurses and staff at the Madison Parish Hospital and the doctors and staff of St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
