Ida Thelma Robertson, 96, of Buna died Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Legacy Nursing Home in Tallulah, Louisiana.

Funeral Services will be held October 19 at First Methodist Church-Buna at 2 PM with burial at Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Rev. David Madden will officiate. Visitation will begin at 1 pm prior to service. Services are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Buna Texas.

Mrs. Robertson was born in Oak Grove, Louisiana and grew up in Dumas, Arkansas. She moved to Tallulah, Louisiana in 1945 and lived there for 30 years. In Tallulah, she met and married her husband, was active raising children and working in the Tallulah Methodist Church. Mrs. Robertson moved to Buna, Texas in 1975. She was active in the First Methodist Church-Buna where she served as church secretary, lay delegate and on many committees. Mrs. Robertson was a member of the Buna Civic Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband, L. C. "Cigar" Robertson, her parents, Arthur John Horton and Mildred Gibson Horton, her brother, Alfred Ward Horton, and her granddaughter, Kady Waller.

She is survived by two daughters Belinda (Randy) Morgan, Tallulah, LA and Sue Robertson, Orange Texas and one son Eddie (Toni) Robertson, Bridge City, Texas, four grandchildren, Robbie Temple, Vallery Morgan, Nick Robertson, and Lauren Buntyn and nine great grandchildren, Robbie Claire, Gabe, Grant, Thea, Jay, Gideon, Rhett, Sophie, and Leath. She is also survived by her special friends Donna Picard and the ladies of the Methodist Church and Civic Club, Tara, Charlie, Hayden and Ashton Holder and her special cousins in Arkansas who she loved to visit.

The Pallbearers will be Eddie Robertson, Nick Robertson, Randy Morgan, Robbie Temple, Charlie Holder, and Hayden Holder.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the First Methodist Church-Buna, Buna, Texas.
