Robinson, a retired nurse's aide, died Sunday of cancer at River Ridge Hospital in Vicksburg, Miss. She was 62. Ms. Robinson was born in Waterproof, grew up in New Orleans and lived in Tallulah for the past 35 years. She was a graduate of McDonogh No. 35 High School and the American College of Nursing. She was a member of New Saint Mark Baptist Church in New Orleans and First Kingdom Baptist Church in Tallulah. Survivors include her companion, Otis Nelson; three sons, David, Eric and Marcus Robinson; a stepson, Clyde Robinson; four brothers, Junior and Joseph Bingham, and Donell and Edward Jones, all of New Orleans; four sisters, Jeannie, Gloria, Mary Louise and Mary Ester Bingham; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at Majestic Mortuary, 1833 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Carrollton Cemetery.
