Roe - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal September 1, 1928 The death of Mr. Frank L. Roe, one of the oldest citizens of Madison Parish occurred at his home in Omega on Wednesday, August 29th. Mr. Roe was born in Madison Parish in July 1848, and lived in the parish all his life. He engaged in the mercantile business in Omega. During his life he took an active part in the affairs of the parish and was at one time a member of the Police Jury from his Ward. He was also one of those who brought the parish through the trying days of Reconstruction. The funeral services were held at the residence at Omega by the Rev. Mr. Rickey of Tallulah and burial took place in the Vicksburg Cemetery when Mr. Leggett officiated. Mr. Roe leaves a wife and a son, Frank L. Roe, Jr. of Bastrop to survive him, to whom the Journal extends its heartfelt condolences.
