Roy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 18, 2003 Funeral services for Mr. Lucian M. Roy, 85, of Tallulah, were Sunday at First Baptist Church with Revs. John Rushing and Ramon Warren officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Roy died Dec. 11 in Madison Parish Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Woodville, Miss., and had lived in Madison Parish over 60 years. Mr. Roy was a USAAF veteran of WW II with the 49th Squadron, 313th Troop Carrier Group. He was a major with many distinguished medals, and was a member of American Legion Post 100, the VFW and disabled American Veterans. Mr. Roy was also a member of First United Methodist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Becky Roy Gunn and husband, Geary, of Tallulah; two granddaughters, April Jones Greer and husband, Jason, of Tallulah, and Brandy Gunn, of Tallulah; one great-granddaughter, Maddie Greer, of Tallulah; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bill Yerger, Paul Harrop, John Hopkins, Dan Copes, George Rogan, John Laird, Eddie Hattaway, James Albert Martin, Tommy Ray Williams and Ted Busby. Honorary pallbearers were Charlie Hopkins, Dr. L. P. Neumann, Dr. T. A. Neumann, Billy Ray Arender, Stanley Harmon, Mitch Mitchell, B. B. Harmon, Perry O. Williams, Col. Fred Monsell, Clem Dahlhauser, Howard Busby, Edgar Lancaster, George Glass, Ray Moore, Lloyd Moore, Claude Grimes, Louis Nettles, Donald Neumann, Richard Powell, Dick Brown, Wayne Stutts, Ira Hugh Ervin, Jeff Thomas, C. L. Keene, Harold Murphy and American Legion Post 100.
