Ronald J. “Ron” Rushing, 69, died March 11, 2016 at home. He was a native of Transylvania, LA. Visitation 
will be 5-7pm Sunday, March 13, 2016 and 9-10am Monday, March 14, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. 
Graveside services will follow beginning at 1pm in Old Silver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello.

Mr. Rushing was a certified welding consultant, working many years in the Oil Field for Shell Oil Co. and 
others. He was very well respected in the Oil Field Industry

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Vivian Rushing; his first wife, Eva Jean Myers Rushing and 
several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Jane Rushing of Terry; his daughters, Tammy R. Barfield (Earnest) of 
Mendenhall, Alicia R. Guillot (Jimmy) of Monterey, LA and Bridget F. Faure (Ben) of Fernandina Beach, FL; 
his brothers, Houston Rushing (Shirley) of Great Falls, Montana and Thomas Rushing (Herrietta) of Oklahoma City, OK; 
his grandchildren, Chase Bordelon, Latricia Bordelon, Heather Tolbert, Ronald J. Guillot, Corey Faure and 
Janie Faure; his great grandchildren, Ava Bowen, Marlie Tolbert and Mason Tolbert.
