(R.L) Rushing - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Shreveport Times, December, 1988 Bossier City - Services will be conducted at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Hwy, 80 E. Bossier City/Haughton, for Mr. Roy L. (R.L) Rushing, 52 of Bossier City, Monday December 5, 1988 at 10:00 A.M. Officiating will be Mr. Randy Smith. Interment with full military honors will be at Hill Crest Memorial Park. He entered into rest Friday, December 2, 1988 after a sudden illness. He had been a Bossier City resident since 1973. R.L. was born to Roy and Vivian Rushing February 27, 1936 at Alsatia La. He Attended Tallulah High School and entered the United States Air Force in 1957 where he retired in 1983. He served several tours in the Vietnam combat zone flying refueling missions for other aircraft. His parents, two brothers Eugene and Emmette, and one sister Rachael Faye preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Daniela Maria Skorjance Rushing of Bossier City. Four daughters, Nadia of Minden, Debbie Alizzi of Many, Linda Lang of Mooresville, NC, and Gloria of Many. Three sisters, Evelyn Irene Machen of Shreveport, Zelpha Mae Smith, and Joy Marie Walker of Monroe. Four Brothers. Kenneth Ray Rushing of Many, Marion Houston Rushing of Great Falls Mt., Thomas Larry Rushing of Midwest City, Ok., and Ronald J. Rushing of Jackson, Ms. Five Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
