Rush - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 7, 1990 Funeral services for Mr. J. L. Rush, 92, were held Friday at Johns Funeral Home in Collins, Miss. with burial in the Ora Cemetery. Mr. Rush, a retired oil mill superintendent, was a resident of Tallulah for over 30 years and was owner of Farmers Machine Shop. Mr. Rush was the builder of the original Christmas trees in Brushy Bayou that have delighted many over the years. A native of Mozelle, Miss., Mr. Rush had also lived in Jackson and in Atlanta. Survivors include one son, Robert Raymond Rush Sr. of Jackson; two daughters, Betty Rush Hogan of Houston, Tex. and Martha Rush Cullen of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
