Benton Russell - Madison Parish, Louisiana
From Seale Funeral Service Denham Springs, LA January 23, 2023
July 18, 1956 ~ January 22, 2023

Benton Russell was called home on January 22, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.  He was an operator at Dow Chemical (Poly A) for 30+ years and started working with Kelly Services (Dow) the day after he retired.

Ben’s first love was his family, his wife, kids, and grandchildren were what he lived for and everything he did was for them.

He was a huge fan of all things LSU Tigers!  Ben spent most of the game times calling or texting his loved ones to see if they were watching the game, didn’t matter the sport.

He had many nick names, but anyone who knew “Big Ben” loved him.  Ben looked intimidating with his handlebar mustache that he had grown since the 70’s and his size, but once you met him you quickly realized he was a gentle giant with a heart of gold.

Ben was a rare breed and he helped anyone he could and loved more than his heart could keep up with.

Ben is preceded in death by: His parents, Luther & Gertrude (Martin) Russell, Sisters, Geneva Russell, Laverne Russell, Mary Russell Webb, and Special Brother in Law, Lloyd Webb, Brothers, Travis Russell, Terry Russell, Tony Russell,

Ben is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol McMillian Russell, 3 daughters, Robin Veitch, Tiffany Veitch, Jamie Russell, grandchildren, Courtland Roberts, Aaliyah (Ali) Newell, Kainen Scott, Kylan (KiKi) Schassburger, great granddaughter, Zoey Jones-Roberts, Sister Louise (Larry) Wimberley, brother Thomas Russell, and twin brother Clinton Russell, special family friend Sheri Kirley, numerous nieces and nephews, many friends and extended family.

The Russell family would like to thank:
