All rights reserved. ************************************************ Luther Franklin Russell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post December 12, 2001 TALLULAH - Luther Franklin Russell died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, La. He was 97. Mr. Russell was born in Castor, La., and had lived in Madison Parish since 1938. A retired farmer, he was a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Martin Russell, and a daughter, Hazel Laverne Russell. Survivors include six sons, Tony Russell, Benton Russell and Clinton Russell, all of Denham Springs, La., Thomas Russell and Travis Russell, both of Tallulah, and Terry Russell of Port Allen, La.; three daughters, Mary Webb of Ruston, Geneva Russell of Tallulah and Louise Wimberley of Hall Summit, La.; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. Charles Caston officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandsons Jason Russell, Mark Russell, Shelby Russell, Leslie Webb, Russell Webb and Kendall Walker.
