All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Rupert "Pete" Russell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 29, 1981 Services for Rupert "Pete" Russell, 71, were Sunday in Crothers Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial services were Sunday at a Cemetery near Castor. Mr. Russell died Friday in Madison Parish Hospital after an illness. He was a native of Castor and a Madison Parish resident for 46 years, was a farmer and a school bus driver who drove for Madison Parish School for 17 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Russell of Sondheimer; a son, Wayne Russell of Houston; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Brumfield of Tylertown, Miss., Mrs. Marjorine Kirk of Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. Betty Pigott of Vicksburg, Miss., two brothers, Luther "Buddy" Russell of Sondheimer, and Rufus Russell of Castor ; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Johniken of Shreveport, Mrs. Ruby Hasty of Minden, and Mrs. Mary Etta Coon of Clarksville, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.
