Sanders - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 27, 1988 Funeral services for Mrs. Joan F. Sanders, 58, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Tallulah with Rev. Randy Willis officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Sanders died early Sunday morning in an automobile/pedestrian accident. She was a native of Illinois and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 12 years. She was a local merchant, a homemaker and a member of the Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Malgene Sanders of Tallulah; one son, Mark Richardson of Tallulah; three daughters, Marcy Smith of St. Augustine. Fla.. Glinda Higgins of Houston, Tx., Pam Reardon of Sugarland, Tx.; her mother, Mrs. Tina Slaughter of Tallulah; one brother, Jack Slaughter of Peoria, Ill.; 19 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ricky Killingsworth, Ricky Lee, Harmon Smith, Rod Cobb, Walter Cobb and Charles Grace.
