All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Marie Coffman Saunders - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 6, 1967 Former Resident Dies Monday In New Orleans Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Coffman Saunders, 82, who died early Monday morning at the home of daughter, Mrs. Martha White in New Orleans after a long illness was held here Wednesday at 1 p.m. Services were conducted at Crothers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Harrison officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Saunders was a native of Commerce, Mo., and came to Madison Parish in 1935, and lived here about 15 years. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. Other survivors include three nieces and three nephews. Pallbearers were Rufus Yerger, George Spencer, Ed Eiland, Cliff Adams, Jack Folk and Jim Folk.
