Mrs. Ramona Nolan Scott passed away peacefully entering her Heavenly home Thursday, April 15, 2021, at her home in Tallulah, Louisiana. She was 92 years young. The legacy of Ramona’s love for Christ and her love for others will live on in her family and friends.

Ramona was born December 31, 1928, in Tallulah to Homer William and Effie Cagle Wilson. She married Lloyd Nolan, the father of her five children. After his death, she married Walter T. Scott. Ramona was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Tallulah. She was a loving mother and a friend to everyone. She spent her life helping others with whatever they needed.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Effie; husbands, Lloyd Nolan and Walter T. Scott; son, John Nolan of Tallulah, Louisiana; daughter, Mona Hodnett of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and brothers, Charles Edward Wilson of Arcadia, Louisiana, W. H. Wilson of Van Cleave, Mississippi, and Ramon Wilson of Tallulah, Louisiana.

Ramona is survived by three children, Susan Nolan Keyes (Edgar) of Tallulah, Louisiana, Ramon Nolan (Linda) of Pearl, Mississippi, and Sandi Nolan Watkins (Robbie) of Tallulah, Louisiana; sister, Martha Jean "Butch" Jolly of Columbia, Louisiana; 12 grandchildren, Lori Fore (Rob), Kami Maxwell (Steve), Eddie Keyes, Neil Watkins, Colin Watkins, Kaetlyn Nolan, Courtney Nolan, Emily Manning (Jason), Andrew Nolan (Lana), Dr. Ben Hodnett (Maria), Adam Hodnett (Shana), and Keri Powell (Nathan); 22 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Alongside family, she leaves behind her faithful companion, “Tinkerbell”, and a life-long friend, Lavonne Givens.

A graveside service for Mrs. Ramona Nolan Scott will be held Monday, April 19, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Jay Parker officiating under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah. A private family visitation will be held Monday, April 19, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Eddie Keyes, Neil Watkins, Colin Watkins, Adam Hodnett, Andrew Nolan, and Dr. Ben Hodnett. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Powell and Steve Maxwell.
