Scruggs - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 7, 1992 Funeral services for Mr. Ben M. Scruggs, 75, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mt Scruggs died Saturday at the Madison Parish Hospital. He was a native of Jonesville and had lived in Tallulah for 53 years. He was a retired service station owner, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 100. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife,Chrystine Scruggs of Tallulah; three sons, Bobby L. Scruggs of Shreveport, Ronnie W Scruggs of Boulder, Colo. and Stephen M. Scruggs of Longmont, Colo.; one brother, George Scruggs Sr. of Clayton; three sisters, Orlean Chevallier of Winnsboro, Bertha Watkins of Natchez, Miss. and Gladys Howard of Ferriday; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Bobby Reynolds, Gene Watkins, Granville Harris, Lamar Walters,Charles Roberson and Todd Scruggs.
