Scurria - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 22, 1983 Services for Anthony S. Scurria, 63, were at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Louis Voorhies officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Scurria died Friday at Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi after a short illness. He was a native of Chicago, but a lifelong resident of Tallulah. He was a farmer and businessman, member of St. Edwards Catholic Church and veteran of World War II. Survivors include three brothers, Phillip S. Scurria, Sam Scurria Jr., and Joseph S. Scurria, all of Tallulah; and four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Phillips, Mrs. Annie Lombardo, and Jennie S. Scurria, all of Tallulah, and Mrs. Angelina Ilardo of Shreveport. Pallbearers were Dr. Andrew Lombardo, Phillip Scurria Jr., Larry Scurria, Tommy Scurria, Sam Scurria, Sam Scurria III, Billy Ray Hodge, Charles Michael Finlayson, and Sammy Lombardo.
