Searles - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post November 21, 1949 SEARLES RITES THIS AFTERNOON IN TALLULAH, LA. Prominent Resident Of Louisiana Town Died Saturday TALLULAH, La., Nov. 21-Funeral services for Mrs. Claude Searles who was found dead in bed at her home Saturday evening by her husband when he returned from work will be held at Trinity Episcopal church here this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. J. Daniel Gilliam, rector of the church, will officiate and burial will be in Silver Cross Cemetery here. Mrs. Searles, whose death was due to a heart attack, resided in Tallulah from 1925 to 1930 and returned in 1942 to make her home here. She is survived by her husband, a cotton buyer of Tallulah, and her mother, Mrs. Frank Wright of Siloam Springs, Ark. Young's Funeral Home of Tallulah is in charge of arrangements. The pallbearers will be Ed Shamblin, John F. Olvey, Francis Ward, W. W. Ziegler, L. W. Stinson and W. F. Powell.
