"Jack" Selden - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 27, 1957 Jack Selden Dies Of Heart Attack Monday John A. "Jack" Selden, 57, died Monday morning of a heart attack at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. M. Powell, at Belzoni, Miss. Funeral services were held at the Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. William S. Spilman, officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Carothers Funeral Home. Mr. Selden was a member of the Episcopal Church and a Mason. Survivors include the sister, Mrs. Powell; one brother, G. M. Selden of Jackson, Miss.; a stepmother, Mr. John A. Selden; two half-brothers, Nash and Jim Powell Selden. Pallbearers were Don Sevier, Bill Oakes, Rod Naylor, Banks McDonald, Louis Buckner, T. J. Lott, W. A. Smith and Andrew Yerger.
