Sevier died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at the Madison Parish Hospital. She was 88. Mrs. Sevier was born in Holly Ridge, La., and had lived in Tallulah most of her life. She was retired from the City of Tallulah and was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Town and Country Club and was a member of First Baptist Church in Tallulah. Mrs. Sevier was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Sevier, and a sister Inez Sumlin. She is survived by a son, Jim D. Sevier of Tallulah; a brother, Dowell Capshaw of Leavenworth, Kan.; four grandchildren, Dana Ellis, James "Doug" Sevier, Lauren Sevier and Nancy Sevier; two great-grandchildren, Kody Ellis and Cameron Ellis; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Johnny Wilkins, John Ziegler, Sonny Sumlin, Bryan Dabney, Bland Greeson and Bill Ziegler. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Tallulah with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery of Tallulah. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah.
