All rights reserved. ************************************************ Virginia Vernon Sevier - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post, February 28, 1983 Mrs. Sevier Rites Held TALLULAH -- Services for Mrs. Virginia Vernon Sevier, 87, of Arkadelphia, Ark., were held Monday at 3 p.m. in the Tallulah Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mark Diehl officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Sevier died Saturday in Arkadelphia after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Kentwood, La., and had lived most of her life in Tallulah. She had been an Arkadelphia resident for the past five years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Tallulah Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Jane Vernon Sevier of Arkadelphia; one brother, Francis Vernon Jr. of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Pierce and Mrs. Alma Schilling, both of Kentwood, La. and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Shields Bray, Jerry Pierce, Glen Good, Jim Sevier Sr., Barton Sevier, and Henry C. Sevier, Jr. Any memorials can be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, Ark.
