Shamblin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 10, 1959 Final Rites For E. E. Shamblin Sunday Afternoon Funeral services for Edward Shamblin, 62-year-old cotton buyer and implement dealer, who died last Saturday in a Vicksburg hospital, were held Sunday evening at the Trinity Episcopal Church, with the Rev. William S. Spilman officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Mr. Shamblin was a member of the American Legion, a Mason, and a member of the local Draft Board for many years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Cabel Shamblin; four brothers, Omega Shamblin, Vicksburg, Miss., Leo Shamblin, Houston, Texas, Pete Shamblin, Monroe, and Jim Shamblin, Rayville; and one half-sister, Mrs. Elizabeth McDuff, Monroe. Pallbearers were Maxwell Yerger, Trent Palmer, Francis Ward, Bill Loflin, Archie Dickson, W. Z. Adams, Cliff Adams and Richard Powell.
