Simpson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 12, 1990 Funeral services for Mr. John H. Simpson, 76, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tallulah Presbyterian Church with Dr. W. E. Mansell officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Simpson died Monday at his home in Tallulah. He was a native of Ruleville, Miss. and had lived in Tallulah for 45 years. He was a retired service station owner and deputy sheriff. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Sue German of Slidell and Margaret Anne McClure of Shreveport; one sister, Sue Meacham of Cottage Grove, Ore.; one brother, R. R. Simpson of Eudora, Ark.; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Glenn Booth, Carroll Crow, Henry C. Sevier Jr., Cliff Adams, W.C. "Skip" McKinney, C. L. Keene, Hal Simpson, Ray Simpson and Edgar Lancaster. Honorary pallbearer was Racer Holstead.
