All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** William Gilbert Skelton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 9, 1991 Funeral services for Mr. William Gilbert Skelton, 66 were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Johnson .lnd Rev. Duewayne Tullos officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Skelton died Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Vicksburg Medical Center. A native of Tennessee, Mr. Skelton had lived in Tallulah for the past 32 years. He was retired as plant manager of the Chicago Mill and Lumber Co. of Tallulah. He was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He was a Navy veteran and member of the American Legion Post No. 100, where he was a former post commander. Survivors include his wife, Retha Mae Skelton of Tallulah; four daughters, Linda Williamson, Barbara Busby, Melissa Nettles and Kathy McLemore, all of Tallulah; one son, Lester Skelton of Bastrop; three brothers, Harlin Skelton of St. Claire Shores, Mich., Otto Skelton of Waynesboro, Tenn. and Osteen Skelton of Chapsmansboro, Tenn.; three sisters, Eve Grannas of St. Claire Shores and Neva Risnor and Irene Skelton, both of Waynesboro; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Harold Bolton, Buford White, Willard Green, Alfred Holmes, Mark Holmes and Gary Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Harmon Smith, Ronnie Kennedy and Johnny Goss.
