All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Robert (Dink) Smith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 3, 1987 MOUND-Funeral services for Mr. Robert (Dink) Smith, 83, of Mound will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. O. B Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Smith died Monday at Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Union Parish and a resident of Madison Parish for the past 60 years. He was a retired farmer and retired Chief of Police of Mound. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy S. Ashley of Mound, Mrs. Lucille Taylor and Mrs. Polly Novak, both of Tallulah; two sisters, Mrs. Oce White of Bastrop and Mrs. Lou Ella Victory of Mer Rouge; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steve Collins, Claude Clark, Bill Yerger, Ed Yerger, Sam Hill and Carneal Woodyear. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. L. P. Neumann, James Still and Wilburn Collins. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home.
